The writing is on the wall for gasoline. Whether one cares or not, middle-class America will be outpriced to keep their cars on the road within 10 years (it is already happening in sub middle-class america).

One Response to Carmageddon

  1. Jim Otterson says:

Yep, Peak Oil will happen and America will really struggle with the resultant gasoline prices. Big 4WD, crew cab pickups/Escalades/Excursions/Expeditions and virtually any V8-powered vehicle will be far too expensive for most people to operate. Government services provided by trucks (and cop cars!) will also suffer dramatically. We should be building mass transit, bus lanes, bus rapid transit, and BICYCLE End of Trip facilities, but like most everyone else, we will react after it’s too late, rather than be pro-active.
